What is a good present/idea for a 2 year anniversary for my girlfriend?

Been with my girlfriend two years on Wednesday. Jewellery thing is not an option, it%26#039;s been done enough between Christmas%26#039; and birthday%26#039;s and a %26quot;ring%26quot; isn%26#039;t in the question for this anniversary, we still want to wait a bit longer.

I did the flowers and chocolate at Valentine%26#039;s day. I%26#039;m taking her for dinner, but I feel there should be something more...

Ideas?? I was thinking a personalized cheese cake from the bakery with %26quot;I love you!%26quot; on it. Is that too cheesy though? (no pun intended)

Thanks!

What is a good present/idea for a 2 year anniversary for my girlfriend?
Do something creative like re-creating your first date.
Reply:Personally I don%26#039;t think the jewelry thing can ever be done enough but I understand. Why don%26#039;t you give her a day of pampering at a spa? Massage, manicure and a pedicure I can%26#039;t think of anything better.
Reply:Get a really nice picture of her and give it to a painter so she/he can paint it. Then get it framed and give it to her. My husband is a painter and he did that for me and I started to cry becuase I was so happy. I LOVE it and I still have it after 12 years. It meant alot to me that he painted it himself but if you are not a painter then go to a painter. I know this is expensive! But I LOVE that. It is so romantic, has alot of thought in it, and is so pretty. But if you can%26#039;t do that you can give her a massage, maybe spa, then a warm bath with rose petals around it with candels around and play nice music. That is really romantic.
Reply:Thats a really sweet idea [no pun indended on my side either] Sounds like a great idea to me, I%26#039;m sure anything personalized by you will be great. I%26#039;m also thinking of ideas for my boyfriend and I%26#039;s 2 year anniv. =) Good Luck. I%26#039;m sure she will love anything you do.
Reply:A portrait session for the two of you to have pictures made together.
Reply:OK I heard this idea and I loved it. Get into her house and fill her shower with roses and rose petals. Then have chocolate kisses on the floor that lead to her bedroom. ( can have kisses leading up the stairs to her bathroom first if you want as well) Put up a sign that says %26quot;I%26#039;ve kissed the ground you%26#039;ve walked on and showered you with roses. I Love You!%26quot; You could be hiding in her room and when she gets all excited jump out and kiss her. lol Have Fun!!

Thanx

Good ideas for 2 year anniversary present for GF?
send them to her work girls love to show off :D it´ll mean a lot that you want everyone to see how much you love her.

with that much could you maybe take her to a hotel for a weekend that can be so romantic and all the effort will show her how much you care, coz then you want to spend time with her rather than just go to the store to get a gift. that what my bf did for me our last anniversay. our 5th anniversary is on thursday actally but we are so broke (students lol!) so we are just going to dinner and maybe see a film but im just greatful i have him. have a nice one
Reply:what%26#039;s atm? my bf and i made each other build a bears :D
Reply:id say at work b/c then everyone knows shes loved

oh and happy anniversary!
Reply:atm is at the moment

u should get her some homemade stuff
Reply:Romantic: buy a dozen roses and one matching fake one and place it in the bouquet with the rest or in a gorgeous vase. attach a card, or poem, or note and tell her that you%26#039;ll love her until the last rose dies.

it%26#039;s relatively cheap but if your gf is a romantic she%26#039;ll probably like it.
Reply:Check out this page for some ideas

http://www.poetrygift.com/an1.html
Reply:ok give your presents to her in person so that it could meant a little special for you two on your anniversary
Reply:If she has a favorite author, get her an autographed copy of one of his/her books. (Depending on the author, this is either trivial or impossible. But give it a try.)

Artwork -- a nice poster or lithograph, suitably framed.

If she%26#039;s a slob (they exist), a one-day maid service, or you do the cleanup yourself.

Gift basket of exotic foods, bottle of wine. (Consumables in general are good gifts, because they get used, and are then gone and not cluttering up the place.) (%26quot;Exotic%26quot; here means things you don%26#039;t usually buy but have been meaning to try. Doesn%26#039;t have to be French Alps white truffles; could be a new type of chips.)

A nice blouse or sweater in one of her best colors.

Tickets to some event -- concert, play, sport. Or travel.

Surprise weekend road trip to some excellent B%26amp;B or resort.

Boyfriend missed our 4th anniversary. I'm I right for the way I feel?

My boyfriend and I would have celebrated our 4th anniversay yesterday but we didn%26#039;t. He came home in the morning (after working 3rd shift) came into the bedroom to tell me the internet wasn%26#039;t working and went to walk out the door but I said %26quot;Happy anniversary to you too%26quot; in a shocked pissed off way because I can%26#039;t believe he didn%26#039;t say it. He said %26quot;happy anniversary%26quot;, no kiss, and walked out the door. After he woke from his morning nap he came out into the living room. I got up off the couch to go take a shower before work but he tried to stop me and say he was sorry. I told him I wanted nothing to do with him and he told me I was acting like a 2 year old. He still has not made up for it: no gift, no card, no flowers, and especially not a sorry. He knows he has hurt me and probably won%26#039;t say he is sorry or even make up for it. I know this because he missed also our 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I spent $350 on him! What should I do and how should I feel?

Boyfriend missed our 4th anniversary. I%26#039;m I right for the way I feel?
You should either accept that anniveraries are not an important event to him, and learn to deal with that, or move on.
Reply:I do kind of think you%26#039;re being a little immature about it. It is a big deal and he shouldn%26#039;t have forgotten, but he may also have had a lot going on at work and not even remembered what day of the week it was (that happens to me a lot). He may be thinking of something nice for you, but if you are all cranky towards him, he might think it%26#039;s pointless to even try to do anything.
Reply:feel how you want to feel. it is ur relationship after all and ur the one who can judge it. just get even by taking something important away from him.
Reply:that does sound like he doesn%26#039;t care about your anniversary that much

but i wouldn%26#039;t get to worked up so much

you should tell him how important it is to you

you can get mad all you want

but dont do something crazy
Reply:%26quot;he tried to stop me and say he was sorry%26quot;

sounds like he%26#039;s sorry. forgive him, he was tired
Reply:#1 Remember some guys don%26#039;t think about stuff like that. I have guy friends I have to remind about their wives b-day, anniversaries etc...

Maybe you should talk together (when you%26#039;re both calm), and tell him how much those days mean to you.

If it keeps up, maybe he is just being insensitive, and you may need to rethink your relationship.
Reply:If he has missed all of the others and this one, then why are you still with him. He should know by now how important it is to you. I would think about finding someone new.
Reply:boo hoo

poor bastard works all night and comes home to you lounging around and all you can think of is yourself!
Reply:You have EVERY right to feel that way! You always do! If he missed EVERY anneversary you goys shared together... Dump him!
Reply:Nobody can tell you how you should feel. You feel hurt and we all know that stinks. If it%26#039;s any consolation, guys just aren%26#039;t good at remembering things like birthdays and anniversaries.

I don%26#039;t know what else to say except I understand how you feel and I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s worth breaking up with him if the rest of your relationship is good. Keep in mind he just got off working the 3rd shift and he could have had a bad day at work or he was tired.
Reply:if he missed your 1st 2nd and 3rd... then why are you so suprised he missed the 4th? As long as he%26#039;s working all night to take care of you Id say that should be good enough.

He%26#039;s a a bit clod either way. But to be fair, he did try to say %26#039;sorry%26#039;, but you did brush him off. That was a bit immature.

Guys often do not put the same importance in anniversaries and holidays that women do. You want a big deal, then some guys need to be reminded a bunch of times before the day arrives. Because to them it is just another space on the calender, and no reflection on you or the relationship.
Reply:As a guy, i wouldn%26#039;t punish him too bad. Take some time and explain to him why it is important to you. Honestly, anniversaries are for women. Ladies get all excited about the EVENT but your man may enjoy his equivalent of your anniversary all through the year. I read somewhere that women have a sacred relationship with time. You measure it, you celebrate, you anticipate you gauge how well things are going based on time and your buyfriend may just be enjoying each day as it comes. I have been in situations like that and I had to explain to my girlfriend at the time that while I loved her very much celebrating these days do not mean as much to me as it meant to her. I said that I have the SAME FEELING she had but I expressed it differently. The day means nothing, the celebration is the important thing and why let the day hold you to celebrating it then.

You may have felt like he was being rude but maybe he had something on his mind. maybe he is tired of celebrating things and he was dreading it. He did not want to say so but guys honestly feel that way. The anniversary of your first kiss, the anniversary of your first dance together, valentines, your birthday, sweetest day, new years, going out to dinner on the anniversary of your first date. Guys can get burned out on celebrating the past. We like looking to the future. Give him a break but when things calm down, gently explain to him why it is important to you and he may react more favorably.

1yr anniversary fear!!! plz help?
Recreate your first date. If it was a dinner and a movie. Get take out at the place you had dinner and settle in with the DVD of the movie you saw or if it was a stroll in the park, have a picnic in the park you went to. Sentiment always works with anniversaries. If you have fears now, wait until you get married!
Reply:Who cares? You%26#039;ve already got the most important thing: each other!

It%26#039;s my 5 year anniversary with my boyfriend tomorrow, but we won%26#039;t be celebrating big until this weekend. What%26#039;s a good normal everyday anniversary gift that I can get him to celebrate just a little today. I want to give him a little gift for tomorrow because I%26#039;ve got other things planned this weekend. He always gives me flowers and I love them so I would like to return the favor for him just as quick kind of gift. Any good ideas?

My friend sent them a picture and they turned it into beautiful piece of art. I saw it and it really looks good.

Our anniversary is coming up and what are some ideas on what to get her?

This is our first year together and I want to do something real special for our anniversary and I love her sooo much, that%26#039;s my baby! I done a lot of sweet things in the past but I want to do something big..., .She already has a ring, earrings, and other things of that nature. I buy her flowers maybe every week, and I just don%26#039;t know help!!!

Our anniversary is coming up and what are some ideas on what to get her?
One of my favorite things I ever did for my wife is plan an entire day for her. Tell her that on such and such day she has to keep it completely open.

If money isn%26#039;t an issue than its a lot easier.

First take her out to breakfast or something simple. She%26#039;ll question what you have planned for the rest of the day but don%26#039;t give in.

Next take her to a day spa, and let her get a massage, pedicure, facial, whatever she wants. While you go out and putz around.

Next (2 options here)

Buy her a nice dress or an outfit and take her out to a nice dinner.

Finish with a romantic walk or some affect.

Second option would be while she is getting a massage or have her relax day. Run home, if convenient, and light all the candles you can find in the house, and make a candle light dinner.

Follow that up with a romantic movie(sometimes tough to stomach) or something else she likes to do.

You can always through in other %26quot;couples%26quot; activities such as ice skating at a rink, or a walk through botanical gardens.

It depends on what you have available in your area.

More importantly, it sounds as though you buy her what she wants, give her something that can%26#039;t be wrapped.. Time with you.
Reply:treat her to dinner at a fancy hotel...

get the honey moon suite before hand, lay rose petals on the bed and have tea light candles lit up in the room for that romantic feel.

someone did that for me once and it was the most romantic thing ever.

oh make sure you have champers on ice
Reply:send her to a spathen a romantic dinner followed by aweekend away with no phones or tv

Buy fresh flowers online?

Hi all this Wednesday is my anniversary with my girlfriend. I was just wondering where can I buy fresh flowers online to send to her office?? I kind of live with her right now, so it would be hard for me to sneak out and buy something.. so I am considering one online.. Please tell me a nice and not so expensive store

Reply:For boxed fresh roses directly from the grower or local florist arrangements try this site:

Reply:Seasonal flowers will be least expensive and a local florist will likely have a lower delivery charge. I%26#039;d check a local directory.

Happy Anniversary!!!

Anniversary gift?

This is for a friend of mine... He has been with his Wife for almost 19 years....their anniversary is next week and he needs some ideas of what he can get for her. He said she isnt a big jewelry person and has been giving flowers for 18 years already. He is looking to spend about $300.00

Anniversary gift?
A spa certificate and a certificate to get her hair done...or get her a really nice dress and take her out for the nite to a really nice restaurant. A carriage ride. That%26#039;s all I can think of right now.
Reply:A trip would be nice.
Reply:What could be more appropriate in such a case than a unique and classical-looking painting or portrait handmade from one of the family photos, etc? I am sure she will love to have it with her and to show it around. You can also select from her most favorite pictures. Just send the photo(s) to the professional artists at http://www.paintyourlife.com and they will do the rest for you – according to your taste!

Reply:In most cases women do like jewelry just not gaudy stuff. Buy her a simple necklace of gold or earrings. Something solid to mark the anniversary as apposed to flowers that eventually die. Happy Anniversary to your friend!!!

Anniversary celebration even though separated? I don't want to. Do I have to? Am I supposed to?

My husband and I are separated. Not legally. I left this past February because of emotional abuse. He and I have a 10 yr old son. He%26#039;s been apologetic for his actions...sometimes. Other times, he%26#039;s just angry and denies any abuse. Recently, he%26#039;s been on the nicer side. Truth is, I%26#039;m not in love with him anymore, if I ever was. We just got married June 12, 2004. We had been apart before that, again, because of emotional abuse and I decided to give him another chance after 8 yrs of being apart. Now, he%26#039;s trying to get me back, or so it seems. Flowers at work, invitations out, being nice when we see each other. I just don%26#039;t love him anymore. I don%26#039;t even like who he is. I haven%26#039;t for a long time. His desires for his life, his outlook, his attitude toward people, his language, his heart, etc. He masked all of this for a long time and when confronted about why he%26#039;d changed so much since, he said %26quot;I did what I had to do to get my family back. Now he wants to spend our anniversary together.

Anniversary celebration even though separated? I don%26#039;t want to. Do I have to? Am I supposed to?
You%26#039;re done? Then be done and don%26#039;t linger in the relationship. It sounds like he%26#039;s willing to do what ever it takes to get back into your lives, but he won%26#039;t continue. Once he is comfortable you will revisit why you separated. Give yourself time to heal and keep moving in the direction you know will be better for you and your child. There%26#039;s nothing to celebrate except your freedom!
Reply:never do what you dont want to, especially since you are already separated and you know what your feelings are. dont waste any more time with this loser.
Reply:If you don%26#039;t want to, don%26#039;t. It wouldn%26#039;t be fair to anyone. For you, you%26#039;re stuck doing something you don%26#039;t want to do. For your son, it%26#039;s confusing and sends the wrong message. For your ex, it gives him false hope.

He is being nice and falling all over himself to get you back because you%26#039;re gone. He only wants you because you%26#039;re not there. If you came back, he%26#039;d be the same emotionally abusive jerk you left. This is just a controlling move on his part - trying to cajole you into doing something HE wants you to do, which YOU don%26#039;t want to do - largely to see if he can talk you into it. If he does, he wins.

Take your son to the park, or go out to dinner with your friends, or visit your family, or shut your door, close your blinds, take your phone off the hook, and settle in on the couch with a glass of Chardonnay and a good book. But don%26#039;t spend the anniversary with him. It%26#039;ll be the beginning of a much bigger mess for you.

Good luck!
Reply:This invitation for a get together is another ploy. Been there- done it. I spent ten years trying to get away and I finally had to move 65 miles away from him. It took 3 years but he finally gets that I don%26#039;t love him. Sorry, but it will be difficult and there will be alot of emotional break downs but you have to sever ties.

Anniversary?

Its me and my honey%26#039;s 7th month anniversary tomorrow, any ideas on how i can surprise her?

btw: she don%26#039;t eat chocolate, she don%26#039;t like em flowers...

what can i do or give her?

Anniversary?
Think of something that is something she absolutely loves to do. It works especially well if it%26#039;s something you don%26#039;t necessarily enjoy because then it%26#039;s you%26#039;re showing how you are willing to sacrifice to make them happy.

Of course you can always just take her somewhere, her favourite restaurant for instance or a weekend alone together.

And all women love shiny things.
Reply:surprise her. maybe do a lot of little things. if shes sentimental, try a photo album of you two and even some of her friends and family to remind her you care about them two, but not too many or its not as personal.
Reply:If you%26#039;ve known her 7months, you shd have an idea of options. Get her a card. Congrats, but 7m is not exactly a milestone anniversary.

Anniversary gift help--PLEASE HELP!! Cant think of anything :(?

I am in desperate need of help! Me and my girlfriend%26#039;s 2 year anniversary is coming up on Monday. I dont have much money (about a spare $100) being a student and want to get her something sweet and to let her know that I intend on MARRYING her one day. Is there anything that I can get her online (besides flowers) or make for her or anything that will let her know that I am serious about our relationship (marriage one day) and to show my feelings? Thanks for you help in advance

Anniversary gift help--PLEASE HELP!! Cant think of anything :(?
If you haven%26#039;t already gotten her jewelry, you could always get her a cute little ring, maybe a promise ring or her birthstone. Try ICE.com. They have really cute jewlery and they deliver quickly. You can also set it up to take payments out every month if you qualify if you want to get something that costs more than one hundred. My boyfriend has gotten me jewelry from here, and I%26#039;ve bought some on my own and it%26#039;s all good quality.
Reply:I agree on the promise ring. I got one for my then girlfriend (now wife) on our six month anniversary. It cost about $150 from a local store in the mall, so I%26#039;m sure you can find something around your price range.

Even though her wedding ring is a half carat channel set princess cut setting for the 1.5 carat gorgeous princess cut solitaire center diamond, she still wears that 1/10 carat promise ring on her other hand, and loves it. The money doesn%26#039;t mean as much as the gesture.
Reply:if she likes jewelry, i seen the prettiest cross with diamonds. the whole cross wasn%26#039;t covered with diamonds, just enough to make it look really feminine. did you think about getting her a diamond now?
Reply:my advice...throw a party for her then BUY HERE A RING AND ASK TO MARRY HER!

Anniversary Garden Party?

I%26#039;m co-hosting a 25th anniversary garden party this coming June.

The location is on a lake, there will be a large capony with tables, white linen with yellow accents, big white bows, bowls of citrus fruits and small white flowers for center pieces, live jazz quartet, etc

We are anticipating around 200 guests, we want to serve a variety of cold, make-ahead appetizers that are fairly easy to prepare and not over-the-top expensive! Any suggestions??

Thanks!

Anniversary Garden Party?
It will be hot , so do chilled stuff

Sliced cucumber topped with a variety of things, smoked salmon, shaved ham, halved cherry tomatoes, chicken salad or pimento cheese

fruit kabobs on about 3-4 inch picks

veggie kababs , same size, can marinate in Italian dressing over night

those little pastry cup in the freezer section, heck fill em with anything
Reply:I hate to say this, because I don%26#039;t particularly like her, but Martha Stewart has a great cookbook for Hors D%26#039;ouevres. The link is below.

Outside of that, I%26#039;d stick to veggies and avoid mayonnaise dressings (because of the heat). If you%26#039;re serving seafood or meats, make sure you have LOTS of ice on hand. Given the time of year and the risk of heat de-naturing the food, I%26#039;m with the person who recommended the caterer. If you%26#039;re doing this for someone else, you can still hire a caterer and foot the bill....think about your how much you value your time and labor. (Unless of course you%26#039;re a chef - but then why would you be asking US???) :-)

Good luck!
Reply:Shrimp cocoktail you just buy the 2 lb. bags of pre-cooked peeled shrimp which serve 25 people for $12.00 around here from a big box store. About 75 shrimp per bag. Lots of dips such as spinich, onion and clam with interesting vegetables, fruits, breads %26amp; crackers. Black and green olives, pesto torte is a god way to serve cheese. Simply mix together cream cheese with parmesan cheese and black pepper. Mold into a bowl shape in a plastic wrap lined bowl. fill with purchased basil pesto cap with some of the cheese mixture and chill for a day or two. Top with sun-dried tomato pesto. Great with very thinly sliced baquettes brushed with garlic butter and toasted in the oven.. This can be done ahead of time. A couple of the spiral sliced hams will go a long way. Lots of fresh fruit in season that is grown locally.
Reply:If you don%26#039;t mind using pre-made ones, you can always go for mini-quiches. They%26#039;re lovely cold as well as hot, so you can%26#039;t go wrong.

You could also serve cold marinated vegetables (such as roasted peppers/mushrooms/zucchini (courgette), with a nice cheese like feta, or buffalo mozarella (both can also be marinated).
Reply:hire a catering that would be better and let them server people

Panick! Help! V-Day and Anniversary Gift!?

Okay all, so today is the one-year anniversary of the date that I proposed to my fiancee. And next week is Valentine%26#039;s Day. We agreed that we weren%26#039;t going to %26quot;celebrate%26quot; V-day, but rather celebrate our %26quot;anniversary.%26quot; We%26#039;re going out to a play tonight, with a happy hour beforehand (I%26#039;m buying).

Last night, I happened to mention that it is very difficult to buy a proper %26quot;anniversary%26quot; gift for my fiancee, because (a) she doesn%26#039;t need any jewelry, (b) she doesn%26#039;t like %26quot;things%26quot; (trinkets and such) and (c) she%26#039;s very picky. She then said:

Oh, I have such great gifts for you... I can hardly keep from talking about them! One is in the $50-100 range; the rest are small. Some you%26#039;ll get [today], others won%26#039;t get here until Valentine%26#039;s day.

Okay, so now I%26#039;m panicked. I%26#039;ll get her a huge pile of flowers for V-Day, and chocolates too (she loves chocolate). But I feel like I need to get her something I can give today. Any thoughts?

Panick! Help! V-Day and Anniversary Gift!?
Damn this is difficult. I%26#039;m not a girly girl either. . . . but even us regular chicks like to feel worshipped every now and then.

I know you want to get her something she can probably remember - so maybe Ashley was onto something. Get her a Spa gift certificate for a massage and a facial. A whole lot of places have great Valentines Day specials right now, packages with a bunch of stuff. But beware, if she goes on or close to V-day it%26#039;ll probably be horribly crowded.

Also, first anniversaries (typically for wedding, not engagement, but who cares) are paper or clocks. So the watch thing was a good idea, but the last anniversary I shared with someone I got a really nice $400 Movado watch and I%26#039;ve worn it like twice in the last few years. If she doesnt normally wear a watch, dont burden her with the gift because she%26#039;ll want to wear it to show she appreciates it, but it may be uncomfortable.

I suggested this to someone else recently - make homemade gift certificates on the puter. Like you could make one for a no-strings-attached massage, and another one for a home-cooked candlelit dinner (cooked by you, of course), a couple saying something like %26quot;A complimentary evening of control over the remote%26quot; so that if you all are fighting over what to watch she can bust one out and get what she wants, make one for shoe shopping, one for a %26#039;yes, dear%26#039; in an argument, etc. etc. You know her better than we do. It%26#039;s a cute little idea that you can tailor to your lives.

You could also maybe do something crazy with chocolate, although it%26#039;s a little too close to the date to get something super custom, why dont you ask your local chocolatier what they can do (Godiva store, See%26#039;s, etc.) with personalization.

If all else fails. . . . tandem skydiving is only like $200. Unforgettable experience.
Reply:First of all, don%26#039;t panic. You aren%26#039;t the first man to be in this situation!

Here are some ideas -

Even if she is not a girly girl, you can set up a nice spa treatment package for her at a nice place. She will get a manicure, pedicure and a massage. Trust me - even the non-girly girls among us will feel better after a nice spa treatment. If she has never been, she will really love it.

Make something for her. Go to Home Depot and get a small wooden box. Decorate it and then put things in it that are special to the two of you - maybe a rock to symbolize some place that you went, or a receipt from some special dinner, or some pictures.

Get her a camcorder. Before you give it to her, record a special message on it for her that she can always keep. Camcorders are really affordable these days so you can get something nice without breaking the bank.

Take her on a weekend vacation instead of buying her a gift and make it really special for her. Make sure you purchase or make a really beautiful card for her that you give to her while you are at the special place.

Take her to a place she has never been before. Perhaps a dinner play. There are many excellent dinner plays that will offer entertainment and a great meal.

Give her a beautiful watch with an inscription.

Get her a gift certificate to her favorite store.

Get her a collection of movies.

Get her a collection of music each with a special meaning for the two of you.

Invite her parents out to dinner with you and surprise her with a special locket that has her picture and her parent%26#039;s pictures in it.

Give her a plane ticket to go anywhere she wants to go. Everyone loves to go somewhere.

Create a special %26quot;in-house%26quot; picnic for her where you create a special evening dinner or have it catered if you can%26#039;t cook.

Purchase a nice dress for her. She has to wear clothes doesn%26#039;t she?

Purchase several books for her or get her a gift certificate to a book store.

Purchase a piece of fitness equipment for her. (I%26#039;m suggesting this but it isn%26#039;t recommended. She may take it to mean that you think she has some work to do on her body ;-( - LOL)

Whatever you do, take the time to make sure that she knows that you love her. Look into her eyes and make her feel like she is the only woman in the world for you.

I hope this helps.
Reply:The watch idea sounds nice. Although I can%26#039;t tell if she%26#039;ll like it or not. Whatever you do take, be sure it%26#039;s nice.

A silky scarf (or sash) could be nice... If she complains that it feels cold to her neck, suggest her to let you warm her up...

;;) I%26#039;m pretty sure you%26#039;ll make it a nice day...
Reply:Haha give her a nice looonnng massage with some of her favorite candies that she can eat while relaxing. Take her out for a nice dinner. You could even take her to see a movie.

ITS A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP i cant give her flowers!

Please just help me answer my question?? i need help!

Okay well our anniversary is on saturday right?

Well im leaving tomorrow, and not coming back til late saturday (like 11pm)

And i have the love poem and everything all ready....but ill be getting back too late to give it to her on time!

So should i go ahead and give it to her tomorrow before i leave??

BTW its an email so im not handing her the message (some may have thought that)

help?

Please help with anniversary!!!?
Why don%26#039;t you send her one before you leave explaining to her that you%26#039;re going somewhere and unfortunately won%26#039;t be able to send it on time. You can then ask her if she wants to get what you have for her now or after you get back. Then send it accordingly. It isn%26#039;t the most romantic way to go about it, but there isn%26#039;t much you can do!

Also, you CAN give her flowers! I assume you know her address and everything so look up a florist in her city and have them deliver it to her door. =]
Reply:they have ecards online too.

also, it would have been better if you mailed her house directly.

There is nothing like a handwritten letter from your loved one. And a soft and plushy teddy bear makes it better ^_^
Reply:yes you can snd her flowers people do that alll the time and they snd cake! you could do that just call a lady in kentucky and pay her the mone y and shelll deliver it to her

Anniversary????

Let%26#039;s say it%26#039;s yours and your significant other 4th anniversary, he (you)doesn%26#039;t have any money, you don%26#039;t live together, even though you did in the past, what should he do? He says he will go to the gym after work!!!! Should the day just pass like it doen%26#039;t mean anything? What happened to romance?Shouldn%26quot;t he at least bring you a flower or flowers?

Anniversary????
No its not about the material things. Forget the flowers, you two can chill at home, watch a movie pop some popcorn and get your freak on.
Reply:Does he remember that its your anniversary? Possibly maybe he will be trying to surprise you by saying that he is going to the gym .You can hope for the best anyway. If neither of you have any money why would you expect him to bring you a flower or flowers. Relationships aren%26#039;t about the material things, oh and believe me they are nice to have, but you have to look at the bigger picture.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think so. If we broke up I don%26#039;t need to do for him anything and he shouldn%26#039;t do anything for me.

Reply:I love tulips and pink stargazer Lillie%26#039;s. I really dont like to receive them as a gift because they die. To me its a waste of money. Someone gave me a glass rose once and it was gorgeous, i loved it.
Reply:I like tiger lilies and tulips.

I pick/buy flowers every week so I don%26#039;t really need them from someone else. It doesn%26#039;t show much thought either. I%26#039;d much prefer someone bought me seeds for my garden or a sack of potatoes. Same price, more thought.

What would happen if i spray painted silk flowers gold?

some one on Yanswers has shared his wonderful idea. i asked are there any gold flowers? the response was %26quot;try silk flowers and spray paint them gold%26quot;.

this is for a 50th anniversary so they need to be fairly gold. and this sounds like the only way to get them.

does anyone know if they will die? i only need them for the night so when should i paint them, just before it starts? and will they die before the night is over? or fade/wear off paint??

please help

oh and would white flowers b best to spray?

What would happen if i spray painted silk flowers gold?
No, they wouldn%26#039;t die, they%26#039;re fake, you said silk flowers. And when you spray paint them gold they will turn gold.
Reply:They would be gold unless you used blue paint then they would be blue
Reply:I think that would work fine. If you use silk flowers you don%26#039;t have to worry about them dying.Otherwise, if you use real flowers make sure you use %26quot;floral spray paint.%26quot; If you can%26#039;t find it at your local craft store go to your local flower shop and buy a can off of them.
Reply:depends on wat chemicals are inside the spray paints

i suggest you just give the flowers as they are

or maybe make your own flowers and rlly show that you worked hard

=P
Reply:First place, silk flowers are not alive anyway, so they cannot die. Also I would paint them quite a ways before the party so they have time to dry. as far as color, gold is a dark enough color that it should not matter what the origional color of the flower is. Hope this helps and congrats on the 50th anniversary
Reply:Told ya so. :-)
Reply:If you spray paint silk flowers gold, they will be gold forever. Silk flowers don%26#039;t die, they just fade away.

Use what ever silk flowers you like.
Reply:Did I miss something?

You asked what would happen if you painted silk flowers gold. Then you asked if they would die.

Silk flowers can%26#039;t die.

In my experience, it is fine to spray paint silk flowers. I don%26#039;t know how real flowers would react.
Reply:they%26#039;ll be fine... do it a couple hours b4
Reply:Silk flowers are fake flowers. Last time I checked, they don%26#039;t die. Ever.

It doesn%26#039;t matter what color they start out as. Buy whatever has the nicest shape. And I don%26#039;t think the paint would wear off if you used good-quality spraypaint.

Do guys really like getting flowers from their gf/wife on anniversaries?

I am far to practical to see value in cut flowers. I hate even buying them for my wife, even though she likes them...I look at them as a waste of money because they last about 4-7 days before they are nothing but a distant memory.

I prefer my wife get me more intimate things. But that is just me. I also like tools or home improvement stuff.

I actually don%26#039;t mind if my wife and kids get me landscaping things (like a tree for the lawn). The same as a bunch of roses, but will grow over time and are a constant reminder of the gift.

Do guys really like getting flowers from their gf/wife on anniversaries?
I guess that they do.When you get them flowers it shows them that you care about them.I personally believe there is nothing wrong with doing this.I buy my b/f flowers for his birthday, etc.
Reply:I personally don%26#039;t, but I%26#039;m sure some guys would.
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t want flowers. What can I do with flowers?
Reply:uuuuhhhhh, naw man guyz dont really play that sentimental shiz...go with alcohol thats a great present..unless ur man is a vagina...no offense, i guess
Reply:i love getting flowers ;sunflowers emmmmmmmmm .
Reply:I have like it before. It%26#039;s been embarrassing because they always sent them while I was at work but after that wore off, I thought it was very sweet.

4th Anniversary Gift?

Every year, my husband and I have gotten each other the %26quot;traditional%26quot; gifts for whatever anniversary we were celebrating. The problem is that the traditional gift for year 4 is fruit or flowers. My husband is not one to appreciate flowers being sent to his job, and fruit just seems really cheap for a gift. Espcially as this is the first year that we will have a real anniversary, and our next one wont be for another 4 years. (We got marrie on Leap Year Day 2004). Does anyone have a suggestion that goes with the fruit/flower theme but isn%26#039;t just fruit or flowers?

4th Anniversary Gift?
It is really cute that you are going to the trouble of not only sticking with the traditional gifts, but that you are trying to personalize it for your husband as well. I hope I can be that romantic when I%26#039;ve been married four years!

Find something that he likes and turn it into a bouquet or even a flower shape. Is he a handyman? Make a tool bouquet. An artist? Paintbrushes with tubes as the petals.

If you want to stick with the fruit theme, you could get him a nice fondue set with lots of strawberries and chocolate to get him started. Or, do you think he would like smoothies? You could get him a smoothie maker and with a bunch of fruit and smoothie mix to get him started.

Good luck!

I forgot my anniversary. plz help?

so today was my one month anniversary with my girlfriend. I forgot that it was. I knew it was going to be our anniversary today (a week ago) and i was planning to get flowers and take her out. However i got bogged down with work, thanksgiving, and my baby brother%26#039;s birthday. Today she gave me a lollipop for our anniversary (%26quot;thought that counts%26quot; and btw i loved it.) but she remembered. I completely forgot it. She is now pissed and i%26#039;ve said i%26#039;ll make it up but she says, %26quot; It won%26#039;t be the same%26quot; which is true = (. So now we both feel like crap. What should I do?

I forgot my anniversary. plz help?
Lol... one week, one month.. blah blah blah.. Wait till you forget your one year anniversary. On the real though, just be honest, let her know you feel bad, and tell her you wont forget your 2 ,3 or 4 month an.. for that matter... ;-)
Reply:geez its a one month anniversary, its not like its a one year anniversary. if she really loves you-she%26#039;ll get over it.

You should wait a while, then totally take her by surprise by doing something spontaneous and sweet.
Reply:Kid, your pathetic. Umm, it takes a year to get to an anniversary, and another year for the next one. Stop being an idiot.
Reply:One month??? Come on. Set a higher goal. If you need to over-rate a one month anniversary, there is not much else going on, eh? Why don%26#039;t you two make a pact to really go big on a six month or one year anniversary and don%26#039;t consider the rest as milestones.
Reply:dont forget it next time and write it down somewhere...but seriously..u had a lot on your head and its only been 1 month u 2 have been together..its not a big deal after all..id be more mad if it was a 1 year anniversary u forgot..but if u r celebrating 1 month that suggests u 2 arent really mature..its like celebrating an anniversary every weekend, kinda boring eh? not fun...dont worry and just explain things to her and tell her to chill out and to ease things do something sweet and unexpected out of the blue from time to time..that should soften her up
Reply:its just the first month tell her to get off that shyt
Reply:Give it to her anyway, and explain what happened, she%26#039;ll probably understand. Which reminds me, mine is coming up in a few days.
Reply:give us a break dude, 1 month ,you will be going out with another chick in 2 months, wait till your married for 10 years and then start worrying about it and start to kiss alot of ***. my nose is still brown, and diamonds only some times cut it.. live and learn...

OMG Mae, I%26#039;m so sorry to hear that. But gurlfriend I gotta tell ya. If the lazy bugger hasn%26#039;t done it in the last nine years it%26#039;s just not gonna happen. Sorry but that the truth. You can try making up a list and try and make him do it. Best of luck sweetie. Hugs : )
Reply:You really need to sit down and talk with HIM, not a bunch of total strangers who don%26#039;t have any connection to your marriage.

If he loves you, he will care about your feelings. Just make sure the television is off first, or ask him when a good time would be for the two of you to sit down and discuss some things.

Nine years is a long time to still be wondering how to handle things between you and the man you love.

Boyfriend missed anniversary?

My boyfriend and I were having our 4yr anniversary and he got me nothing - no gift, no flowers, no card. We have 2 kids that I take care of 20/24hrs a day, I work, go to school full time, take care of the house, etc. All he does is go to work - he had all the time in the world to do something but he didn%26#039;t. He asked all week and even the day before what I was giving him ( a $350 ice fishing suit he%26#039;s been dying for). He knows I%26#039;ve been crying my eyes out. He has not said sorry and if it%26#039;s been like our previous anniversaries, my birthdays, valentines days... he will not make up for it. He cares enough to make sure he sent floweres to his mom for her birthday 2 weeks ago - but he choose not to make time to do anything for me. He is trying to talk to nicely to me but I want nothing to do with someone who doesn%26#039;t care about me and won%26#039;t even say sorry for hurtn me. He does this all the time. We have kids and I don%26#039;t want to leave him. Talking to him is no use. What should I do

Boyfriend missed anniversary?
Go get counselling. Also, DO leave him!! The reason he does this to you is because he CAN GET AWAY WITH IT and he KNOWS you won%26#039;t leave!!

DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Just say that you are leaving to find someone who actualy gives a fxck about your feelings and puts you first in their life WHERE YOU SHOULD BE!

Don%26#039;t worry about your kids, studies have found that having separated parents has no effecton them, they won%26#039;t care believe me, and if they do, tough. Why should they have to live in a family where their father does not even care about their mother??

It will be better for the kids if you leave.
Reply:sounds like my man guess some guys are ******* and dont think much of what matters the most there women!! but there is no changing someone that is set on his ways already thats about all i can tell you.
Reply:You should leave him anyways. He sounds like a moron.
Reply:Maybe hes gonna surprise you. we%26#039;ll you need some time 2 yourself to ask yourself some deep questions, like %26quot; do i like where the relationship is now? do i like where its going? whats the history with this guy? good / bad? can it be worked out? do i love him?%26quot; you know, like that....get your %26quot;priorities%26quot; straight.
Reply:It makes a little more sense this time around. So, he%26#039;s all talk and no action. I mean, I can%26#039;t blame you for not trusting his words since he doesn%26#039;t actually have any actions to show you he cares.

It seems like he takes advantage of you. Maybe you guys should see a counselor who can help you with your relationship and help him understand what he%26#039;s putting you through.

Is it inappropriate to recieve flowers at work?

Today was mine and my husbands anniversary and my husband surprised me by sending flowers to me at work. It was a dozen red and white roses in a glass vase. It wasn%26#039;t overly big or anything, just a normal bouquet of roses.

I sat them in my teller window (over to the side) and my supervisor came over about 5 minutes later and told me that I need to take them to my car. I asked her why and she said it was inappropriate. I asked if I could sit them on the back counter and she said no, that she doesn%26#039;t want them anywhere where the customers can see them.

Is it inappropriate to receive flowers at work? I%26#039;ve seen many people with flowers before and I think they look nice. I never knew it was inappropriate. What is your opinion? Have you or anyone you%26#039;ve known ever received flowers at work?

Is it inappropriate to recieve flowers at work?
This kind of stuff is done all the time... No it is not wrong at all...Yes I have received flower to many to count and so have lots of my friends and there friends friends and so on and so on.

And not just for anniversaries but for birthday or for Valentine%26#039;s day and for just i wanted any occasion or none occasion
Reply:No, that is not inappropriate at all. If anything, customers love looking at flowers. It gives the bank a pleasant feel. Your boss is just jealous because no one sends her stupid *** flowers. I%26#039;ve seen flowers in banks before. She is just jealous, like I said.
Reply:it is perfectly all right to recieve flowers at work, unless you work in an allergist%26#039;s office. your supervisor was probably jealous.
Reply:That is super weird. Maybe she was jealous or something. I have gotten flowers at work several times...even when I worked as a teller at a bank. Nobody ever told me it was inappropriate. Weird!
Reply:Well, she%26#039;s probably the only person on the planet to think that flowers in the office is inappropriate. Many people I%26#039;ve worked with have received flowers for special occasions, including myself. People ooh and aah then appreciate the beauty. It would be nice to go to the bank %26amp; see flowers. Why on earth would she think that the customers wouldn%26#039;t enjoy them also?
Reply:Unfortunately, this completely depends on your work environment, managers and supervisors. It sounds like you have one who is jealous, spiteful and needs to relax and hang loose for 30 seconds. Like what kind of consequences will she have for allowing flowers? Gee - I%26#039;ve received personal flowers while in the military, while in the corporate world, while working in a temporary position, working with non-for profits - doing sales, I%26#039;m the million career girl - and I%26#039;ve never had a boss have a problem with this - even when I worked for a bank or retail. So, if you want to keep your job - you%26#039;ll have to have the flowers given in person during your personal time to please this boss if it is at all possible to do.
Reply:I%26#039;ve sent flowers to my Mom at work before. Nobody complained. It%26#039;s not inappropriate, your boss is just a crab. Personally, I would have told her %26quot;no.%26quot; If I wouldn%26#039;t have been fired for refusing to take your flowers out, I wouldn%26#039;t have done it.
Reply:That%26#039;s ridiculous. i go to the bank daily and i see ladies with flowers and pictures and i see nothing wrong with it. take them to the car? now that%26#039;s silly, esp if its cold out. sorry, but she sounds like a major B. Congrats on your anniversary. What a sweet man you must have.
Reply:Sure it%26#039;s ok to recieve them at work, but I guess it depends on the enviroment in which you work. Flowers are not usually part of the banks decor. Also your supervisor may think having flowers delivered to the bank is not the proffessional image the bank wishes to portray in front of customers.

I would not take them to the car as they will die. Surely she cant object to you leaving them in the lunch room where customers cannot see them

Don%26#039;t let it spoil your day. Happy Anniversary.
Reply:Wow, that is one of the strangest things I have ever heard.

Sounds like your supervisor was jealous....Unless there is something in the bank policies about this about them wanting their employees to not have any personal connection with the customers for some type of security reasons.....

I have received flowers at work many times over the years from my husband, children, friends and other family for years and have never had a supervisor tell me to remove them and take them to my car.

I work with special needs children and adults in a school setting, and also in retail sales and management. I may have had to place the flowers on a shelf away from the students, but not had to remove them to my car.

Any of the banks that I deal with in the New England area let their tellers have flowers and family pictures within their teller window area.

I think I would be checking with your supervisors boss on this one....

Congratulations on your anniversary, you are blessed to have a sweet and caring husband.
Reply:I%26#039;ve never received them at work, but I%26#039;ve often seen them in our bank. Obviously someone is getting them, and they look very nice in that setting.

Don%26#039;t know what your boss%26#039;s problem is, but I suppose you have to do as you are told. It really is too bad.

Happy Anniversary!
Reply:i think thats the most romatic thing ever to receive flowers at work from you love one....but yo boss was being a hata...and a asshole and a big ***** so baby girl dont trip let them bitches hate
Reply:huh! What kind of backward supervisor is that? Is she a zombie? Anyway, her bank, her rules, but she%26#039;s totally weird.
Reply:In these days of over-reactions to things that can lead to claims of sexual harrassment at work (and sexual harrassment claims can be very costly for both the complainant and the violator), I can tell you why your boss forced you to leave the flowers in your car.

The boss feared that an intimate relationship at work by even sending flowers could compromise or cause deleterious (or

injurious) ramifications which could erode work morale and lead to a breach of ethics, especially with the chain-of-command at work. For example, if you are the supervisor and the employee is your husband or wife, an intimate relationship could mean a longer commitment to the relationship, and this can mean less focus on working, less concentration, and less paying attention to important tasks.

Therefore, at work, it is best to ask your supervisor permission to display flowers in the workplace for a certain someone that you like at work who is also an employee, even in a consensual relationship at work. This alone will likely cut a lot of threats of possible sexual harrassment claims.

I hope that you are well-informed and I am doing this just for you......
Reply:no,it is not i send my women flowers all the time to work.
Reply:first i want to say congratulations on the anniversary and i hope you have many many more :-) second no its not inappropriate to recieve flowers at work in fact its quite sweet. yes ive recieved flowers at work and have sent flowers to someone at work . if you boss does not allow them at work though next time if he wants to surprise you i would suggest your husband send them to you at home while hes at work . but it sounds to me like you have a great husband and marriage . :-)
Reply:I can not believe your boss. I have supervised many office situations ( public as well as private ).

I can put myself in your bosses shoes and for the life of me I can%26#039;t find one reason for her to make that decision. It can only be healthy for you and your co-workers. What customer would have a problem seeing a beautiful flower arrangement. The flowers only mean you are respected and loved by others. Even the office takes on some quality. You know their is only one reason for her decision and I think we all know what that is (jealousy). Good Luck and have a great anniversary. Take the punch and do a good job. Maybe someday you will be able to make those decisions.
Reply:no its not your boss is just being a *****
Reply:I do not see that as being inappropriate; however, every manager has a different view on these things. I do think that%26#039;s ridiculous that she wouldn%26#039;t even let you sit them in the back, but made you put them in the car. At every bank I%26#039;ve been to workers have pictures of their family and flowers sometimes and I think it%26#039;s cute and makes the place look inviting.

Sounds like she was just jealous.

Congratulations on the anniversary!
Reply:No it is not inappropriate. I too work in a bank branch and our Branch Manager is a nut job.
Reply:Wow, talk about somethin crawlin up that supervisors butt eh?

There%26#039;s nothing wrong with recieving flowers-she%26#039;s just jealous.
Reply:Your boss is jealous, especially if she%26#039;s not letting you put in on the back counter. Flowers and plants help set a better mood in places.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think its inappropriate. I think that women was jealous. I think it would brighten my day to walk into the bank and see a happy teller, smiling as she looks at the beautiful flowers her husband sent her. What a miserable old cow your supervisor is!!
Reply:Anyone that does not appreciate human nature. could react to that. I am a manager, and I feel that if it doesn%26#039;t create a scene, where people are distracted from their work then it should be OK to have a life. this also sounds like someone has respect issues.
Reply:no, its appropriate ...maybe ur supervisor was just ....jealous..;))

If flowers show up for no apparent reason..?

If a guy sends you flowers, and it is not a birthday, an anniversary, Valentines Day, or Mothers Day--- what is your FIRST thought? Is it simply sweet? Or does your mind wander to %26quot;What the hell did he just do?%26quot;

If flowers show up for no apparent reason..?
Honestly, when you get older, flowers on a day that means nothing is a very very romantice gesture. Yes, women will always think %26quot;what has he been doing?%26quot; because that is what we have been taught by the media, but deep down, we LOVE it.

When you receive flowers on V-day, birthdays, etc, we know we are going to get them. The surprise on those days is, if we don%26#039;t get them :)

I say simply sweet! I LOVE THAT!!!
Reply:oh how romantic!I love a guy like that.
Reply:he must feel guilty about something he did.
Reply:yeh for sure because in this day and age u don%26#039;t get flowers just because someone is thinking about ya. u get flowers for thx for last night or something like that.
Reply:A simple note expressing your feelings will eliminate her %26#039;what the hell did he just do%26#039; thought.
Reply:My initial reaction is a big smile! I love to get flowers for no special reason. Maybe I am too trusting but unless I have reason to believe something is wrong I don%26#039;t suspect a thing. Too, many guys give flowers as an apology and have ruined everything for us flower lovin gals.
Reply:I think that if I wasn%26#039;t dating the guy, random roses would be a little awkward. Something more friendly, but sweet like daisies or lillies would fit the situation better. But, that%26#039;s just my opinion. I can%26#039;t speak for all the other girls out there.

Sweet guy, though.
Reply:well, i would think it was a mistake because no one would send me flowers even if it was an event
Reply:IS THESE FLOWERS FROM SOMEONE YOU KNOW? DATING?

NOT ALL GUYS HAVE A MOTIVE. SOME ARE JUST SWEET. THERE RARE. IF YOUR ONE OF THOSE GUYS. DON%26#039;T CHANGE.

THAN AGAIN IF THERE FROM SOMEONE YOU DON%26#039;T KNOW. HE MAY BE A STOCKER.
Reply:simply a gesture of love.....(then what the fuc* has he been doing )
Reply:Wouldn%26#039;t know! My husband forgets birthdays, anniversaries, Mother%26#039;s Day etc.
Reply:i would say sweet but is this like a stalker type deal or you know this person personally and you%26#039;re interested????
Reply:Depends on the kind of flowers and the type of relationship. My husband brought home pink roses to me last night on an evening grocery store run. This was sweet, and if they open and smell sweet I know they were out of love. My grandmother said that if roses are given and don%26#039;t open, they are guilt flowers for a sin. Flowers are very sensitive forces of nature.

What type of flowers should i get my boyfriend?

for my one year anniversary i want to get my boyfriend flowers..but i dont know what kind to get him...should i stick with the traditional roses or something else?

What type of flowers should i get my boyfriend?
Never buy guys flowers.
Reply:Flowers on our label for prom, wedding, and daughter%26#039;s wedding; flowers on our coffin. That%26#039;s the universe when it%26#039;s ok to %26quot;give%26quot; a guy flowers. Now, if you want to buy flowers for, say a table decoration when you serve your guy dinner, that%26#039;s a different story. Or you want to get him some crazy cool plant because you%26#039;re quirky (like a weird shaped cactus or a venus fly trap) OK. But not roses. Not carnations. Not lillies, not orchids.

Instead, MAKE him something. It can be gushy and romantic, but it%26#039;s still acceptable for guys to have because it came from you.

Good luck!
Reply:We don%26#039;t really like flowers they just make us feel awkward sorry
Reply:While flowers are always a lovely gesture, why not give him a plant? Depending on where you live, you can even get plants that flower at certain times of the year. I have a Bird of Paradise and it is the most beautiful plant! (I live in Colorado and it does fine even in the winter months as long as it is near a heating vent and gets natural light.) Google it and see if it might be right for your boyfriend. It%26#039;s really nice to give plants, unlike flowers they will usually last a very long time. Not to mention how good they are for the air! Good luck!
Reply:What ever you like --most guys don%26#039;t care for flowers or chocolate... they usually prefer something useful and non-perishable...
Reply:Im just gonna say go pull some of your neighbors flowers and give them to him, whenever I get flowers I throw them away or just keep them alive until I break you with her and give them to my new girlfriend.

EDIT: Hey, you can get him something useless and breakable. They%26#039;re cheap and we love that kind of crap

EDIT AGAIN: Okay, so he wants flowers. Well then just get him some roses!

What type of flowers should I get my girlfriend?

It%26#039;s going to be our 9 month anniversary and I wanted to get her flowers. I asked my sister for help and she said either:

peruvian lilies:

http://a1128.g.akamai.net/7/1128/497/000...

or petite roses:

http://a1128.g.akamai.net/7/1128/497/000...

And said she liked the lilies better, but I feel weird buying her flowers that aren%26#039;t roses. I just kind of feel like getting her 2 dozen red roses like I always do, but my sister said that I should do something different.

What type of flowers should I get my girlfriend?
get roses. roses are elegant and are just right for a special occaasion. different colors of roses mean different things. go to google and search %26quot;meaning of roses%26quot; and pick the color that best expresses how you feel. good luck and congrats on your anniversary!
Reply:roses, or a flower of her fav color, but prob roses
Reply:Roses are always appreciated, especially since they symbolize love. If they have special meaning for you and your gf, find some unusual roses for her. My favorites are a peach colored rose with a crimson blush on the tops of the petals. Very attractive and rather unusual.
Reply:i think its very romantic when a guy gets your favorite flower..doesn%26#039;t matter which is more traditional. but the fact that you took the time out to find out and look for the flowers she loves is awesome. stick with her favorites!
Reply:what you should ask her this: which sea would you like better one of many collors or one of only few. if she wants the sea of many colors then get her the flowers with the most color the first one if she would want one of only few then get her the roses
Reply:Get her what she likes. After 9 months you have to have some idea what kind of flower she likes. What does she buy for herself? Ever seen flowers around her house?

If you truly have no idea get the roses because anything else might be the wrong message. And women are almost always looking for some hidden meaning in everything you do.
Reply:Listen to your heart and get the roses. Guys can NEVER go wrong with roses!! Just make sure they aren%26#039;t black, and everything will be just fine.
Reply:My favourite flowers are white lilies . . Don%26#039;t you know what your girl%26#039;s favourite flowers are ? - - I would go with the lilies , but maybe try to find out what SHE likes before you buy them
Reply:I know if got flower i would want them to be red roses cause they are a sign that you love her.
Reply:Go for the roses, but don%26#039;t do the standard red.

Do something like yellow roses with orange tips. Something breathtaking.
Reply:Lillies are more fragrant.

Why don%26#039;t you get sunflowers? Or just ask the florist.
Reply:Get her what you think SHE will like, not your sister or what you like....I vote for the roses. If she likes the red roses that you normally get her then stick with what works. Maybe try a different color rose as opposed to changing the whole flower.
Reply:Get her a dozen white roses and a dozen red roses. Buy a vase and put the flowers in it. Thats just my suggestion. Thats what I would like but if she likes lilies or whatever kind of flower she likes get her those. Good Luck and Happy Anniversary!! =)

Is it okay to send flowers to a woman other than your wife?

I just picked up the mail and a postcard from 1-800-flowers came to remind my husband that a friend of his is having a birthday soon. I called my husband about it right now and he said that it was an old friend from high school and he sent her flowers for her birthday last year. He didn%26#039;t give me flowers for mother%26#039;s day or our anniversary either. Am I being paranoid?

Is it okay to send flowers to a woman other than your wife?
Yes... it IS okay for a man to give another woman flowers!!!

As long as it is his MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, DAUGHTER, SISTER or GREAT-GRANDMOTHER!!!!

No you are not being paranoid! He is completely in the WRONG!! To give another woman flowers when he didn%26#039;t even get YOU flowers??? That%26#039;s completely wrong!!!

He sent her flowers LAST YEAR and you are just now finding out about it??? So, basically, he has lied by omission... failing to tell you made it a lie!

By not telling you, he has completely ruined your trust! Now you will wonder what else he hasn%26#039;t told you about, particularly with this %26quot;old friend from high school%26quot;... how do you even know if that%26#039;s the truth?? If you ask him if he slept with her, he will (of course) say no... How will you know if that%26#039;s the truth either??? The trust is gone!!!

I%26#039;m sure he had more than one female friend in high school... Does that mean that he sent them ALL flowers for their birthday?? Why just this one???

I%26#039;m sorry for you... I don%26#039;t know if I could make myself stay with him anymore...
Reply:i would be pissed
Reply:he likes or liked her
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t accept it. If he cared enough to send an old friend flowers, then he should have cared enough about what his wife would think about it. Sounds like you have your hands full to me with a husband who isn%26#039;t very concerned on how it made you feel. Especially if you didn%26#039;t get flowers and the other woman did.

The only women that he should be sending flowers to besides you, is his/your mother, his/your grandmother, great grandmothers, sisters, daughters and only with your consent; sister-in-laws, and close mutual friends where you would both have your name on the card.

Tell him you don%26#039;t like it and how it made you feel. He may be clueless.

Good luck..............
Reply:he is interested in this woman, and not as a %26quot;friend%26quot;. no, you are not being paranoid. a man should only give flowers to his wife, mom, grandma, sis and daughter. try to find out more info on this so called %26quot;friend%26quot;. this might be evil, but check his email and voice mail. better safe than sorry.

good luck.
Reply:if u are tired of living
Reply:You%26#039;re not being paranoid at all!! I would be really suspicious if my husband ever bought flowers for another womean....I don%26#039;t know how your husband is but it sounds like that%26#039;s a little out of the ordinary for him??!! Why would he send flowers to a woman he knew in high school?? Does he ever talk about her or have you ever heard her mentioned before? These are ?%26#039;s I would ask myself.....That%26#039;s pretty messed up that he would do that for another woman and not for his wife....sounds like he has some explaining to do.....good luck
Reply:no,you are not paranoid...men love to do things for their mistresses or hope to have mistresses.they don%26#039;t do for their wives.watch him like a hawk...and don%26#039;t let his lies blind you.use your senses.
Reply:oooooo girl,i%26#039;d have his **** packed and sitting out when he came home! the nerve of some men, not that he sent the flowers to a woman, but that he forgot all about u! mothers day, anniversary, etc. thats bs....im lying i would be pissed about sending any other woman other then family flowers! theres def something going on,or he%26#039;s very interested in her and trying to impress her!! kick his *** 2 the curb girl!!!
Reply:If I were you....I wouldn%26#039;t make too big of a deal about the flowers (YET). Keep Quiet and open you eyes. Listen and look for other clues. Keep tabs on him and make notes. Lots of men are very good at hiding affairs. When he says he is going to be late for work...make sure he is really working and check to make sure the pay equals the extra time. Check his phone records on recently called numbers. Usually a man will call his mistress as soon as he leaves the house and right before he comes home. If you make too big of a deal about the flowers, he may try and cover his tracks too hard.....let him get his guard down so you can catch him if he is seeing this woman or any other woman. You go gurl!
Reply:No your not. It sounds like he is trying to rekindle an old flame. Sorry to tell you that but When I sent flowers to a female friend I told my wife first and it would only be 1 flower with a card that said from both of us.
Reply:Only if she is a muual friend of yours and even so you should have agreed together to send the flowers. Otherwise you have just sprung the cheating so and so. I guess he wasn%26#039;t as clever as he thought he was.
Reply:Why wouldn%26#039;t it be? Send %26#039;em.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think there is anything wrong with him having flowers sent to her by a florist. It could of been more personal and he could have delivered them to her in person. He had them sent for a reason it was her birthday. If it was valentines or other day it would be different but truthfully what else does a male send to a female friend that would be appropriate for her birthday when they are only friends.
Reply:She gets flowers and you get none? Sounds like something%26#039;s up. I can understand sending flowers to a relative but an old friend from high school. I%26#039;d talk to him and tell him exactly what it looks like. I bet he%26#039;s showing other types of suspicious behaviour also.
Reply:There are 2 sides to every story, but from what you%26#039;re saying, it doesn%26#039;t sound like a good situation.
Reply:I think I would have a good talk with him
Reply:Ditto sungirlie%26#039;s response.
Reply:I agree completely with DearAbby!
Reply:No its not unless its his mother or sister. If its just a old female friend, a friendly birthday card is plenty.
Reply:I would also find out what type of flowers he sent...roses, carnations or some odd flower could mean that he sent them in a more romantic attempt or that he knows her enough to know what kind of flowers she likes...plus if you can find out what the flowers cost it would be helpful...men don`t spend money on %26quot;nobody`s%26quot;

try getting a statement of past purchases from that company. Good Luck.
Reply:i don%26#039;t know about paranoid, but i know i would be very unhappy if my husband acted this way. at least you now KNOW about the situation and can therefore TALK TO HIM about it. tell him how unhappy and suspicious you are about it,tell him how much you feel it%26#039;s inappropriate and tell him that it wasn%26#039;t a nice thing for him to do...ESPECIALLY since he doesn%26#039;t buy you - his WIFE - similar gifts. who knows why he did it??? men can be so thoughtless at times....what i think is more important now is using this situation to evaluate your marriage as a whole...it could be the making of you if you talk it out, learn from it and move on all the stronger because of it. if he isn%26#039;t willing to discuss it rationally or accpet how wrong he has been, and how insensitive, then that IS a problem....good luck with it and i hope it works out .god bless both of you
Reply:I agree with dearabby, girl my words exactly you think like me, going into detail and all. So i will agree with you or end up writting a book lol.

Flowers + Women?

I buy my wife flowers on christmas valentines birthday easter and anniversary, Thats it. She has just told me I buy her flowers too often. I didn%26#039;t think that was possible, what do you think?

Flowers + Women?
I would love someone like you to do that to me , I wish every day someone could give me flowers I%26#039;m single I wouldnt mind at all , I think she just bored with flowers maybe, try something different like her favourtie food, I%26#039;m so glad what you do however I feel you are a true gentleman keep it up
Reply:Your wife is lucky - this is true - I was married to a funeral director and when he cleaned out the back of his hearse he collected the loose flowers that fell from wreaths and bunched them together at the bottom with tin foil and handed me them saying %26quot; I know u like flowers and its a shame to waste them%26quot; That was the only flowers he gave me in the 19 years we were married .....

It will come as no surprise to know were now divorced
Reply:My husband doesn%26#039;t ever buy me flowers, but i told him it was ok. My mom doesn%26#039;t get flowers from my dad either. She said if he doesn%26#039;t buy her flowers now, when she dies, he better NOT buy her for her then. She would rather have them when she can enjoy them not when she is dead. I say go ahead and buy her the flowers. She loves it!
Reply:I think she is crazy. I get them only on the spur of the moment from my hubby, she should feel lucky.
Reply:that is way too often. get her something that will last forever, not something that is just gonna die, and you have to toss in the garbage.
Reply:some girls just don%26#039;t dig the flowers thing. It%26#039;s become kinda mainstream. It%26#039;s old, unoriginal.
Reply:Stop buying them completely. That%26#039;ll teach her to complain. ;)
Reply:Gosh I would love flowers from a guy, I have only ever had them around twice when I was first caughting my last fella. I suppose for birthdays and Christmas if you just buy her flowers and nothing else that would be boring but to receive flowers with presents, well I think some women just have too much of a good thing LOL!!!
Reply:Maybe she just doesn%26#039;t like flowers. I don%26#039;t, and I told my husband to please never buy me flowers. There are so many other things one could buy for their significant other - flowers are a cliché, and a real waste. Buy her things she REALLY likes (chocolates, stuffed animals, gadgets, anything you think she might like).
Reply:is she from another planet? we all love flowers and there%26#039;s never too much! my man gives me flowers only on valentine%26#039;s day and this year FINALLY he gave me roses in our anniversary! maybe your wife is not a sweet person... and i let them dry and put them in a special place so he doesnt think that I just want roses and then when they die put them in a trash can. for me, roses, notes, whatever he gives me is so important!!!
Reply:You just can%26#039;t find the magical combination.

My wife complained that I never bought her flowers. So I did out of the blue a couple of weeks ago on my way home from work. She left them on the table and didn%26#039;t even unwrap them and went straight to bed (i.e. sleep).

Two weeks later %26quot;how come you never buy me flowers??%26quot;

grrrrrrrr..............
Reply:This may be too often for her as she likes other things then just flowers.. How about candy or a nice romantic card of some nice perfume or jewlelry... I like flowers too but i love it when my husband buys me all sorts of special things! I like a variety and probably would get bored if he only bought me flowers all the time... Just a suggestion:)
Reply:If she has said it, then it is so. You%26#039;re making a generalization that is apparently not true in her case.
Reply:women do love flowers, just like they love chocolate, but you can have too much of a good thing, what happens when you have too much chocolate? you are sick. she may appreciate the sentiment more if you give them a little less often, maybe she thinks your taking the easy option by getting her flowers at every occassion, she may feel that you do not put any effort into thinking of an alternative gift. try getting her something different next time, and if that doesnt work you can always send the flowers to me!
Reply:Maybe she wants you to start buying her other things like jewelry

Wives: What special present would you like for your anniversary?

Our 20th anniversary is coming up at the end of the month. I don’t want to just go out and just buy jewelry or a gift certificate. I would like to give her a gift a day for the week leading up to the anniversary.

So far I have 1. Flowers, 2. manicure/pedicure certificate from her favorite spa, 3. Chef%26#039;s dinner in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant.

Any other ideas? What would make you happy?

Wives: What special present would you like for your anniversary?
That sounds really nice so far, I would like all those things. Since you are at the 20 year mark how about something from your first date, something that reminds you of the first time you met, something from that place, or a little story book or poem of when you met and how you are more in love now..
Reply:20th is CHINA! So you can get something small leading up to....and then buy china for the day of...click below to view some China pieces.

Reply:I would be happy if my hubby finished at least one chore on his %26quot;honey do%26quot; list. (like build me a bookshelf)
Reply:I%26#039;d like to be taken out for a night on the town(maybe a makeover first, and a day at the spa) and when were done going out(clubbin or a real fancy dinner) stay in one of them ritzy hotels and sit in a hot tub or whirlpool, and stay the night!
Reply:not to sound like a perv but take all the kids to g-mas and spend the entire day in bed (not sleeping of course). thats what i would like anyway
Reply:Depends on what she likes I guess... I always ask my husband to ditch the flowers and just bring me cash. We usually get each other practical gifts; iPods, cool t-shirts, computer-related stuff, MMORPG gift certificates. But we%26#039;re dorks.
Reply:You have done some nice things already, but if it were me, I know you said you didn%26#039;t want to buy jewelry, but it would be so nice if you took her wedding rings and had an extra diamond or something special done to them......maybe engrave something to her in her wedding band.......that would do it for me.
Reply:Cook her a nice supper, clean the whole house, write little notes around the house to make her laugh, wash her car..... Women love that stuff and it doesn%26#039;t cost money. Sounds like you are treating her great! Not too many husbands out there like yours. Fortunately, mine is like you!
Reply:Well, all this is really great.

Evening out (music, theatre, musical, whatever she likes)

Jewelry is always nice, unless she already gets loads from you (even then, I don%26#039;t know, she may still like it)

Night or week-end away in a special place with you, she may like this.

I would be happy with any of this, but to be honest, can%26#039;t remember having had any (not even a card) in 17 years of marriage. So, just to say, you are doing great.
Reply:I love jewlery!! But um.....a shopping spree....a concert....a play... um....um....but best of all just having my husband love me would be enough for me!! Congtrats! May your marriage last forever!!
Reply:Does she get her hair done? Perhaps make her an appointment with her hair dresser (and pay in advance) for her usual treatment like a perm or straighten, hair color? If she doesn%26#039;t go to the hair salon, your mani/pedi idea was a good one.
Reply:Have Elvis renew your vows in las vegas!
Reply:You%26#039;re going about it the wrong way . You should

go to the cruise agency.

get the agency to make speacial arrangements to celebrate anniversary on board

does not have to be a long journey

give her the tin card with your name and let her chose an expensive gift on board, 20th anniversary will be the one she will rememberthe most for the rest of your very long marriage stay happy

Congrats to both.
Reply:a 20 year anniversary ring, a good old fashioned romp in the sack that lasts longer than 2 minutes, a gold lined gift box with a promise inside saying that you%26#039;d be with me for the next 20 years, and let me be in control of the remote for 1 week!! :-)
